SHARING THINGS - A WORKSHEET

[NOTE: If you plan to use this worksheet in a group setting, you may wish to remove these introductory comments. You may also wish to leave extra space between the verses.]

This worksheet is intended to familiarize a person with some of the various dimensions of sharing that are mentioned in the Bible. Examine the passages, as well as their contexts. Reorganize the outline or add more verses, if you wish. (You may even wish to include verses that mention the concept of sharing, but not the word itself.)

In the outline below, four verses are listed twice, because each of them mentions two different dimensions of sharing. These are: 1 Thessalonians 2:8; Romans 15:27; 2 Corinthians 1:7; and Romans 8:17. Also, Galatians 6:6 is listed in two locations, because interpretations vary as to the specific meaning of the "good things" that are to be shared. Two passages serve as warnings: Hebrews 6:4 (about certain people who share certain spiritual blessings only temporarily) and Revelation 22:19 (about people who will not get to share eternal spiritual blessings).
