In what ways does the modern-day concept of "church" and "church membership lists" (any other modern-day terminology that you may also choose to include, such as the word "denomination") add to, or subtract from what the Bible says regarding the concept of unity or oneness that belongs to the followers of Jesus Christ?
What does the Bible say about these differences (between the Bible and modern terminology)? Does God give us authority to make these changes (that is, to replace the Bible's definitions of concepts with our own)?
