This page is just being created in the middle of the Psalms studies.

For a list of pages related to this general topic, see: Judgment.

*See also: Injustice.

*See also: Justice and Mercy.

Justice is related to purity. God must judge, in order to purify what humans have corrupted. Evil must be cast out of his presence, and righteous must be maintained. Anything less is to endorse impurity, corruption, wickedness, and even death itself.

:Because of this, judgment and justice are expressions of love. To not have judgment and justice is to not have love.
Psalm 33:1-22
:Faithfulness, righteousness and justice are described as expressions of God's love.

:Note that the concepts love and justice go together.

Psalm 37 (selected verses)
:Psa 37:28 For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn't forsake his saints.

Psalm 72:1-20
:The goal of a righteous king: justice and righteousness. The Davidic kings of the past never fully met this goal (though some did better than others). Jesus Christ, the future Davidic king, will meet this goal fully.

:Many references to justice can be found in this psalm.

:God's nature defines justice.
Micah 6:6-8
: Mic 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Isaiah 32:9-20
:When the Spirit comes, his presence will affect the environment, but the Spirit will also affect moral values and conduct. Justice and righteousness will be present.
