The "opposite" concept: God's Judgment of Israel (Actually, it is because he cares for them, that he judges their sin. See also the comments below, related to Deuteronomy 8:1-20.)
In the matter of war: God Fights for His People.
Scripture Pages that Link to Here
- God says he will fight for Israel, against Pharaoh and his army (at the Red Sea).
- Israel gives God credit for what happened.
- In the wilderness, God provided for Israel - taking care of all their needs; he disciplined them like a son; he withheld things at times (such as food), to teach them about their real needs (such as the Word of God).
- God, not Egypt, is the one who will protect Jerusalem. (He will also judge Israel - see nearby verses.)
